Through museum educator training, I have equipped myself with a lot of professional knowledge about museum collections, including arts, design and architecture. I have also become familiar with different kinds of curatorial narratives presented in various exhibitions. Moreover, I have had the opportunity to participate in training sessions conducted by overseas museum professionals. During the sessions, the speakers shared different learning models for engaging museum audiences and provided practical solutions to strengthen our facilitation skills, enabling us to provide thought-provoking learning experiences for different kinds of audiences.
This programme has hugely inspired me, and I would like to pursue further study in the field of museum education. Currently, the profession of a museum educator and the importance of in-gallery facilitation are not fully mature or widely recognized in Hong Kong. I am devoted to contributing to this sector while making it my career.
